We’ve been posting these kinds of blogs for a while now and we love doing them. It gives us a chance to get to know everyone better, and a legit reason to be nosey. (Sorry Ellie, we didn’t really need to know about your first kiss).

Ellie Blanks – PA to the CEO (Ruth) and all-round office hero.
Biggest Accomplishment At Truly?
Winning the ‘Super Woman Award’ at the office Christmas party – we did say she’s an all-round office hero, and she’s even got the trophy to prove it.
Fun/Obscure Fact About Yourself?
She’s met Barack Obama (lucky). She also said that a group of people once tried to steal her dog and she managed to fight them off… she then said probably not to add that bit in, but y’know.
Favourite Memory At Truly?
Dancing to Cotton Eyed Joe at the Christmas party. We’re sorry to have missed that, but also glad that we weren’t involved.

‘Working with this team, ‘cus I love you all”. She’s a charmer, isn’t she?

‘Surviving lockdown!!!’ Hannah was one of the poor parents who ended up juggling working from home and homeschooling.
Fun/Obscure Fact About Yourself?
‘When I was younger I played tennis and had coaching every weekend, I used to play for Warwickshire & competed at Mini Wimbledon. I met loads of famous players & I still have the autograph book somewhere!!’
Favourite Memory At Truly?
‘Having to pretend to be Ruth’s sister when a client mistook me for Alice on the phone & I was too shy to correct her.’ We’re very upset to have missed this, but are fairly sure that us sniggering in the background would have made it worse.
What Question Are You Most Commonly Asked?
‘Are you Abi, Aimee or Jo’s sister?!’ No, Ruth’s sister, of course.
What Do You Most Like About Your Job?
‘The people I get to work with & flexibility.’ Another cute answer, we do love each other here.
What Are Your Hobbies/Interests?
‘Mainly my business! (Making pretty flowers for weddings, events etc), FOOD (obsessed with food), walking, exploring new places/travelling’.
We are gutted that Hannah is going to be leaving us fairly soon, but her own business is expanding so fast that she is off to run that full-time. Whilst we are not looking forward to seeing her go, we are so so proud of her and pleased to have had such a whizz-kid working for us.
What’s Your Party Trick?
‘Passing out on the spot (from standing) when I have a few too many cocktails!’ Hmm… a stark contrast to the above comments. Genuinely impressive though.

‘Discussing what we are having for lunch! YUM!’ Our admin team really do seem to be the foodies of the office.

‘What are you having for lunch? Or Has ‘xyz’ paid yet?’ Us writers are actually starting to get a bit jealous about all of this food talk they have going on. We might have to try sneaking into their lunch club – fingers crossed we can get ourselves a seat at the cool table.

‘Excel and Google Sheets’… What can you possibly say about a response like this? Are you OK?

‘Showjumping, exploring the Cotswolds walks and pubs with Hector.’ We’d like to clarify that Hector is Jaymee’s lovely little dog!

Yes roast dinner, yes champers, but really rice pudding, really!? From any dessert in the world!? It seems that the admin team aren’t really the foodies that we were starting to believe they were.
If You Could Be Any Animal, What Would You Be?
Jaymee’s initial answer was a swan, but then this message was received – ‘I think I would like to be a lion on reflection, so I could live in the sun.’ It’s a good choice, matches her award perfectly, and we just love that she made the change as it shows that she has really taken this seriously, just as we do.
