What Is CQC Registration?

If you work in the aesthetics industry, we would strongly encourage that you get CQC registered! However, we do understand that a lot of clinics simply do not have the time to undertake what is a pretty long process. Plus, if you’re not familiar with all the forms and the information you need, it quickly becomes very confusing. Not to worry though, that’s why we are here! Let’s have a closer look at what CQC registration is and why and when you should do it.

The CQC is the Care Quality Commission, they are the independent regulator of health and social care in England… so some very important people! They work to make sure that clinics, like yours, are offering safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care, and are always encouraging even outstanding care services to keep trying to improve. Becoming registered takes your clinic from being just an aesthetics clinic to being a medical and aesthetics clinic.

So, if registration offers these benefits, why aren’t all clinics registered already?

Well, as we said, it’s because of the time, effort and knowledge that goes into completing the full registration. We’ve even had clinics before that have started the process and given up halfway through because it was all such a faff! With our help, you’ll get registered and not have to lift a finger – well, other than to give us a call!

Not sure that it’s right for you? Well, let’s further explore the benefits…

Why Complete CQC Registration?

Here are what we think are the most important benefits of becoming CQC registered:

  1. Improved Credibility
The aesthetics industry is highly competitive, clients have the choice between hundreds of clinics that all claim to offer the best results. Becoming CQC registered is a great way to prove that you operate a fantastic clinic. Plus, as this assurance comes from an independent organisation, your potential new clients know that they can trust it.
  2. It Shows You Adhere To CQC Standards
CQC standards are very high, they are based on The Health and Social Care Act 2008, which works to ensure the quality of all health and social care services. Becoming registered is a fantastic way to show your clients that you hold yourself to exceptional standards.
  3. Showing Your Clinic Is Safe, Effective, Responsive, Caring and Well-Led
These are key things that potential clients are going to be looking for when choosing a clinic, and CQC registration will have them all ticked off in one!
  4. Regular Inspections
This may not initially seem like a positive, but if you’re looking to attract new business then it certainly is. Showing your willingness to be regularly inspected demonstrates how well you maintain your high standards at all times. Plus, we can help you get ready for inspections as we know exactly what they are looking for.
  5. Broaden Your Treatment Portfolio
Offer new treatments! Becoming registered means you can offer:

    1. Surgical procedures
    2. Mole, skin tag and skin lesion removal
    3. Cosmetic surgery
    4. Threads
    5. Diagnostics and screening (including ultrasounds)
    6. Blood tests
    7. Biopsies
  6. Increased Revenue
All of these benefits ultimately result in the same thing – increased revenue! Attracting new business and retaining existing clients means more money coming in!
